Campaign Contributions
One of the most important tasks of running for office is to effectively communicate your message to the broadest possible audience. The most direct way to do this is to knock on doors. I’m doing that, and it is a wonderful opportunity to meet my neighbors and get their input. Though this is a very inexpensive method of spreading the word, it is time consuming and doesn't reach every constituent.
In order to communicate the message more efficiently, through literature drops and direct mailings, candidates need to raise funds. I need your help in this regard.
The laws of Minnesota used to make it very easy for individuals to contribute to candidates for state office. Individuals could contribute up to $50 to a candidate for state office (up to $100 for a couple) and get the entire amount refunded from the state. No longer.
The Political Contribution Refund (PCR) program is no longer in effect. The PCR was eliminated for the 2010/11 biennium as part of the Governor's unallotment process to balance the state budget.
Now, more than ever, I need your help to communicate with the residents of Burnsville and Savage. Contributions of any size can be sent to Volunteers for Morgan:
